My prayers are with those who were laid off at my company today; may God be with you and your families; I pray that you quickly find new employment that not only pays the bills but that you find personally rewarding and fulfilling. May God bless you.
I’d like to thank those of you whom I worked with personally. You’ve really contributed to making my job a rewarding and fulfilling experience, and I will miss you.

A while back, during one of my upgrades to the software, a lot of my settings got changed. I thought I had changed all of the important ones back. . . and left one teeny tiny option box checked that shouldn’t have been.
Please accept my apologies if you have tried to comment and have been unable to. I believe I have corrected the problem now, and things should again work the way they used to.
If you continue to have problems, please let me know! I value your feedback and am disappointed that I might have missed a lot of it.
The post that published earlier was pre-written, but I have a working computer now and have normal internet and email access.
My computer had a hardware failure, and I’ll have only limited access to the internet, including email, for about a week.
Fortunately, I had enough warning that I was able to back everything up and shut the computer down before it self destructed. This is your reminder that this could happen to you. If you don’t have one already, put a backup system in place! I use SyncBack and an external drive.
Hi, everyone! Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to have a look around! Ree is hands-down the best storyteller on the web, so I’m not going to try to compete with the story of my roller coaster day. Let’s just say it ended on a less sad note.
(If you’re not a PW reader, you should be! Start here.)
Thanks, Ree!
I ran an upgrade of Wordpress and lost my colors and such. I have it backed up somewhere, just have to find it!
I’ll try to fix it (or maybe improve on it) soon!
January 14 Update: I’m working on it now.
January 14 Second Update: It still doesn’t look quite right to me, but I’ve restored everything I had backed up. Perhaps I’ll tweak the appearance again soon.
Due to having IRL obligations this week and feeling under the weather, I’ll be taking a short break from blogging. I anticipate I’ll be back within a week, Lord willing.
. . . but I quit smoking 1 year ago (1 year, 0 minutes and 5 seconds. 13140 cigarettes not smoked, according to my “quit counter”; I never look at it any more).
I couldn’t have done it without God and Jefferson. Thank you.
Just wanted to let you know I’m taking a break for a few days. New blog entries will be back before you know it, Lord willing!
